It's Official, Rock-n-Roll godfather, Chuck Berry, is just as dedicated to St. Louis as his larger than life bronze installment in the University City LOOP located across from his second home, Blueberry Hill.
Crowds gathered on Delmar Blvd for a sort of block party as every news source banked their cameras to record history. Playing during the ceremony were recorded messages from the likes of Joe Perry, Little Richard, and Elvis Costello to name a few. Mr. Costello gave his congratulations to Chuck and suggested that every town Mr. Berry mentioned in his hit songs should be installing their own Chuck Berry bronze statues.
